here's my pictures! The jacket and holster were made from a jacket, button up shirt, t-shirt, wife-beater, and slip from goodwill.

Oh man that jacket is amazing! I'm horrible at doing things that look randomly placed, but the mix of fabric is perfect! And that thigh-pack omg I need one.

In other news, I received today!!! After a doctor appointment that ended with no less than four needles being stuck into me (I don't like needles) a long rainy day and various other problems, it was a nice surprise to find it waiting for me. I haven't opened it yet (I'm using it as motivation to do my homework, which includes a big report and reading three chapters of the driest book in existence, so I really need it) but I'll post pictures as soon as I can!

*breaking forum etiquette by posting right after myself in a thread but this deserves it's own post anyway*

So textilejnkie spoiled me to DEATH. I feel like I owe her my first born child, or at the very least should name it after her. I won’t be able to post pictures until my mom gets home, but here is the lowdown:

She made me four ribbontastic hairties, a chemise(!), drawers(!!!), some baggy pants (sort of, you’ll see in the pictures) a fantabulous skirt and a CORSET. She also included a pattern for the corset, both cut out in fabric and paper and drawn out to copy, as per my request so that I can be saved for failing to draft myself a decent corset when I try to make one. There was also a box from the mysterious future year of 1979 (she found it in a thrift store, it has cool stamps and weird marks on it), a really cool business card, and a letter telling me all about my mission to infiltrate a group of rogue short skirted steampunk hooligans in order to score a sweet corset. The skirt has to be seen to be believed, I can’t even describe its coolness here.

Attention any and all future swap partners of textilejnkie: This lady is fierce and crazy talented. You should thank your lucky starts that you were able to get her and go make her something wonderful.

Yeah so tl;dr: textilejnkie = hero

Ooo, gorgeous stuff! I'm not usually into rainbows, but they really make the pieces. I really need to make those earrings, I have some nuts lying around, and the goggles are awesome!
