this is only my second ever knitted item so advice or comments are more than welcome Smiley

the 'wool' is a strand of net. you knit into the edge of it stretching as you go which creates the ruffles. took me ages to cast on with it lol, i havnt much experience with knitting things and i find casting on a little tricky at the best of times Embarrassed
i found finishing tricky to as you cant thread the wool back through the stitches so i ended up tying a knot just to make sure Undecided

couldnt believe how quick a knit this was, just one ball produced enough for a scarf (though you would need more for a longer or wider one)

feels just right for spring Smiley

LOVE this! It's very Victorian-esque (which makes me weak in the knees) and the color is my absolute favorite!

Awww I wish I could knit! Sad

I've done one of these, but mine was a mix of blues and greens that striped up Cheesy Don't they just knit up so quickly? They're brilliant!

Burntmuffin - youtube "Rico cancan scarf" (name of the wool) and lots of videos come up.

I'd also like to say that I managed it...so it's VERY suitable for beginners!

thank you i wasnt sure what the name of the wool was Embarrassed. the brand i bought was a german one ( flamenco uni )? when i tried to find it online it came up with little Undecided

...' could you show us how you did it? i'm not that good at knitting, but I'd love to give it a try'...

i just used knit stitch through out with 8 stitches a row. instead of looping the wool around the needle you simply poke the needle through one of the holes in the mesh and finish the stitch as normal.

Very cool! It seems like this kind of yarn is made to knit ruffles?
