Did you know that 2/21/11 was the 25th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda video game?  Grin I found out the day beforehand, and knew I had to make something Zelda-y... but it had to be something quick, and therefore something small! So I made this little guy.

Old-school Link! He's 4 inches tall. And from Link to the Past, technically, 'cause his hair is pink.  Cheesy (Even if the colors got screwed up, it IS in fact quite pink.) He was so fast and easy, I had to make a few more...

And then with all these Links I needed a Zelda... and LttP Zelda is my favorite/has the most simple outfit...

Aaand as I type this I'm making a set of 4 Swords Links in their four colors... I just ran out of yellow for hair, so I can't finish them. I swear, these are too fun to make. I might turn them into keychains to sell at a convention later this year!

(ALSOOO: Super thanks to my partner in the last Zelda swap, groperesponsibly, for giving me the lovely sage green yarn used for most of these!!)

There have been so many cute Zelda/Link projects posted recently, this one included!! It makes me want to figure out what all the fun is about Smiley. I still have my gold NES version of Zelda but that's where my knowledge stops.

The details you added to these are really great. The little belts and hair are adorable!

Like a fine wine, the Legend of Zelda series only gets better with age (and new technology). The games have everything..adventu re, puzzles, action, storyline, pretty graphics, interesting characters...the list could go on forever, haha.  Maybe you could take a trip to your local game store and see if you can pick up a used copy of one of the newer games...if you have a Wii or a DS, that is. Wow how did I miss these. They would make a great present for my husband. Zelda is the first game he got me to play other thank mario kart or mario brothers. So I would love a link to the pattern or where to purchase the pattern. So cute. Great job.
