Personal poppet swap? PM me!

I recently had a commission to make a Sweeney Todd Poppet. Now let me tell you this was quite a daunting task because a) I have never seen Sweeney Todd before and really have no knowledge of him/ the film/ play (?) b) Lanikins already made a fantabulous Sweeney Todd poppet and c) his clothes. I literally just learned how to make boys clothes with my Jace (from the "Mortal Instruments") poppet and his clothes were pretty basic, just jeans and a sweater whereas Sweeney would need a collared shirt and whatnot.

Luckily last week I had spring break so I had lots of time to work on him- a good solid 3 days/ 8+ hours a day. I (thankfully) only ran into a few problems when making him (mainly the placement of his head- that always trips me up with poppet making, I always have the heads crooked, lack of chin, and whatnot. I ended up beheading him 3 times until I ended up with this). All in all, I am super proud of how he turned out and I had a really hard time boxing him up and shipping him out.

Here he is in all of his clothing:

And here is a detailed pic of his underclothing. I drafted the pattern for his collared shirt myself (which I never thought in a million years I would do- yay me!):

Another collared shirt picture (can you tell that I am excited about that collared shirt? Wink )...

And a close-up:

And a hair-pic, just because it was epic... Seriously the yarn my mom bought? I fell in love with it:

As always thanks to ghilie for the poppet pattern and craftewoman for the clothing patterns!

Av, he looks terrific!  I love how you do all the different pieces of clothing, esp. the razor blade pouch, and his hair looks great!  I think the smudges around the eyes are a perfect touch, give him that Sweeney Todd sinister-ness.  Sounds like you had a good spring break, despite the usual beheadings.  How funny that you had to behead Sweeney Todd, lol!
