*blush* Exciting!

This is also the push I needed to get these next yarns posted. I've literally had them done since May!  Lips sealed

Rose-crowned Fruit Dove (I'm not 100% sold on this name... there's surely a better fit out there somewhere!)

I believe this is the first merino I spun and it's so so yummy and soft... mmmm....

I'm working on a few more that hopefully won't sit around as long as these have!

Beautiful! The Egret is my favorite though. So soft and light looking.

I love the egret as well...but the colors in the fruit dove are also very lovely...

Have you made stuff with your gorgeous yarn or are you just going to keep them for touching and staring? Smiley

I honestly haven't made a single thing.  Embarrassed I think I'm trying so hard to find the perfect pattern that I won't just pick something and go with it! I'll need to get over that soon though. I'm running out of space in my yarn storage.

About how much yardage is in each of your pieces?  Enough for a cowl or a hat?  I am afraid I would never be able to let any of it go... Cheesy

I have no idea how many yards any of them are.  Lips sealed  I could probably make a hat or cowl out of the majority of them, though.

Here are the skeins I sent to insertusername in the Handspun and Handmade Roudd 5 Swap! (These are insertusername's images because she took some great ones!) She said she loved zombies and mermaids so these are based off of those suggestions but still named after birds.  Smiley

The first is the zombie inspired yarn. I believe it's merino. I named it Takahe, since the Takahe is a Lazarus species, which means that it was thought to be extinct but was later rediscovered. Basically it was brought back to life! Wink

The second is a set of two skeins called Wandering Albatross. As you can see this is the set based off of mermaids. I named it Wandering Albatross since they spend up to 80% of their lives at sea. It's Wensleydale plied with an iridescent thread. I will say that I will never purposely buy Wensleydale. I absolutely hated spinning it! It turned out well but boy was it a giant pain.

I have a handful of other new skeins but I don't have them all named quite yet. Hopefully I can post them soon! Smiley

These are all gorgeous! I agree with HSG, the egret looks so soft and beautiful. It's so...egretty! It also helps that egrets are my favorite birds. I love the albatross colors as well. I love the bird themes.

First, I love your bird inspired yarns! Second, how about the Moluccan Cockatoo for that lovely yarn with the pinks/peach/yellow/white?
