Here are a few projects I've finished recently.

I made this creature for FinRaziel in the Tiny Stuffie swap. She just fits within the 5" size guidelines, and is made with mohair-type yarns that are brushed. As a Thistledown Spirit she's soft and gentle, but she's also tough, fits in anywhere and can be a little prickly at times.

I've been needing a wrist pincushion for ages, particularly useful when I'm sewing the parts of my amis together. So I made this little guy over the weekend. He's a Moss-heggle; a bit like a tiny hedgehog, he hides among moss and has spines to stop him being eaten by toads. He's very helpful - I can even store my hook and scissors underneath him.

For my sister-in-law's birthday recently I made a variant on my usual Yoda pattern. He's based on Yoda in the prequels, with a hooded robe - not easy to make at that scale (he's only 2.5" tall).

Your amis are always really sweet, Angry Angel. I love all the little spirits and your terribly famous sci-fi figures[ (I live in Britain so I saw your 4th Doctor and dalek on Have I Got News For You! I seem to remember them making some sort of "exermi-knit!" style jokes after showing it and shouting 'but it's crochet! at the tv screen at the time. Was faintly starstruck when I found out through your blog a) that it was made by a craftster member and b) that it was made the craftster member who makes all those cute fluffy woods-spirits with the mini-mythologies attached to them.) I've not commented on any before because I never have anything original to say about them but I've seen a lot of your work here on Craftster and it's always been really lovely, so I thought I'd drop you a catch-all sort of comment anyway!  Grin

I've got to admit though, the wrist pincushion heggle is adorable in a rather unconventional way - he looks to be quite the masochist!  Shocked
And I love Yoda's little hood so much...

Thanks for all the lovely comments!

Mostly Harmless - I'm blushing now! I was really chuffed to have my amis appear on HIGNFY. I know they couldn't tell they were crocheted, but at least they weren't rude about them.
Making pincushions look like creatures is always difficult, or it does look a bit cruel. That's why I made a kind of hedgehog-y creature, who can apparently grow prickles at will!

I imagine I would have forgiven them in person  Wink
Naw. I generally enjoy HIGNFY and I try to cut non-craft(s)ters some slack with the knit/crochet thing (I usually end up correcting people, because I'm silly that way) and this seemed to be a case of unfamiliarity more than anything else. They were all perfectly polite (especially considering the sorts of things they say about some of the photos they use on the show!) about it, I haven't re-watched that episode in a while but I seem to recall they were quietly impressed. Think Mr Baker was probably quite flattered!  Grin

Love that thistle, but the mini Yoda with hooded robe is waaay cute! I love the details you put into him. I love his toe nails, and his ears! I squealed when I saw him. Can ya tell I'm one of those Star War nerds? Cheesy
