after a long and arduous fight with my sewing machine, we finally finished two quilts this weekend! I realized as I was quilting that I had a square upside down, but at this point, I said screw it and finished it anyway.

QFKs website said that they were short on teenage boy quilts, so I thought blue flames would work...

Here's a closeup of the square that I turned the wrong way...

Here's the one with the squares that came in the mail, I hated the orange and purple backing fabric that came with it, so I changed it out for pink fabric with tiny orange flowers.

I love both of your quilts!
My favorite part of the second one is the stitching/quilting, but I prefer the colours of the first one.
I had to look quite some time to discover your mistake, so I don't think it is a problem.

These look great. My local chapter of The Linus Project says they're always short on boy quilts too, so I think it's a general problem in this sort of thing.Tongue

You've pointed your "mistake" out, and I still don't see it.  I think you did a great job!

I LOVE the color gradient in the first one!  I would totally use that Cheesy

And I don't buy the mistake...just spent three minutes looking for it, and I can't find it!  Smiley

Well, I have looked and my son has looked and what mistake? We can't see it at all! Smiley Awesome choices on the boys quilt! I have 4 boys so masculine is always a thumbs up in this house Smiley Great work on them both!

Once upon a time a girl named Indigo played with her Gran's sewing machine... the rest is fabric hoarding, sewing addicting history!
