I made this for the lovely petskin in the IYP swap. She's received so I can share it now!

This pattern is from the book More Last Minute Knitted Gifts and it's called the Hollywood Scarf. The book has it in the "less than 2 hour" section but... um no. It's still a fun and pretty quick knit though!

The yarn I used is called Organik. It's a lovely merino, alpaca, silk blend that is SO nice to work with. The only problem with it is that the colors vary quite a bit between skeins - even those in the same dye lot.

I like how it turned out and I just got some nice orange yarn to make myself one Smiley.

Thanks for checking it out!

It looks so soft.  I think it's a really great color too.

That makes me feel a little better. I just thought I was the world's slowest knitter when ever I would try and make those kind of projects.

I'm so glad that you like it, petskin. It was such a delight to knit it for you Smiley!

PaleAngelLex - the book is full of lies! None of the projects take the time they suggest they should.

That is gorgeous work, LimeRiot.

BTW, this type of scarf is more frequently called a Keyhole Scarf. I've never heard of a Hollywood Scarf - except in that book.

There are several different free patterns for Keyhole Scarves kicking abound online.
I just found one that might be helpful for beginning knitters - how to knit Keyhole Scarf: http://www.ehow.com/how_4910318_knit-keyhole-scarf.html
