<3 Technicolor Dreamcoat <3 ***more pics!***

Okay, recently i discovered i'm not only addicted to very colorful knitting - i'm also addicted to knitting shawls. This particular one was on my list for a long time.

The pattern is from vogue knitting ~ the yarn is noro kureyon in three different colorways.
Since the five main sections all are knitted individually and joined in the final step it makes a perfect project to carry along!

this is sooooo beautiful! I love to knit and making shawls is one of my favorite things, Ive never knitted with Noro before since its not available at any of my local craft stores but the color ways is very pretty, the shape is very cool too, do you know what issue the pattern is from? i would like to give it a try but without the cables since I can knit cables for the life of me. I voted this rocks cos it does!

MizzKodak, the pattern is from one of the little vogue knitting book(let)s... SHAWLS on the go! (pm me, if you can't find it on amazon or elsewhere!)
~ i think it should be possible to modify the pattern so as there is no cable in the center of the panels ~ increases are made by yarn overs to the left and right of the center stitches. all you needed there would be a rather sturdy alternative for the center stitches!

Wow! I couldn't really picture how this thing works from the first picture, but the action pics are awesome! Please make some in daylight for us, so we can drool over this shawl some more! Would you say it's comfortable around the neck like this?

Hmm ... I think I'm in luck. There are some of those Vogue On The Go booklets in my local public library. (I've never noticed a shawl booklet though - not that I would, because I do not particularly like shawls.)

But this is beautiful! And you are wearing it like it is comfortable.

The shawl is very comfy! lucky me... i actually like to wear wool

... the "value" of the colors used... although i assembled the panels without this actual knowledge, i plan on making use a lot more of color theory in my knitting soon!
