I wanted to try something out of one of my new books, and here's the result.  It's #123 from Edie Eckman's "Around the Border" - the breast cancer ribbon border.  Rather than adding it to an afghan, I decided to put it on one of my hats.  I think it's fun, and plan to make a bunch of them up to sell, with a certain amount of the proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  I think I'll make some up and take samples to local businesses and see if they'll match the money raised if I sell these at a local craft fair.  Still some modifications to make, but all in all, a good first effort I think.

I think it's great have you thought of offering or donating to cancer patients perhaps in hospitals?
