Is anyone interested in doing a fabric themed scavenger hunt? I know there have been lots of fun yarn ones and I've organized some crochet motif ones, but I've been on a sewing/quilting kick lately and think a fabric themed one would be awesome!

If anyone can think of some good options please share them!

Here's some options I snagged off of a previous yarnies scavenger swap to get the ball rolling.

1. Something local
2. Something purple
3. Something recycled
4. Something hard
5. Something funny
6. Something related to the letter 'M'
7. Something dotted
8. Sender's choice

Something cozy (could be a cozy for a can or an ipod, or something cozy like a scarflette)

This sound fun!  How much fabric per category were you thinking about?  I love the food themed fabrics that are popular right now.  Something yummy?

Yummy sounds like a fun category! It could be food printed fabric or a "treat bag" made out of fabric full of candy lol! I like vague ones can that be interpreted many ways.

I'm still fuzzy on how the final rules would go but it would be something like: One item per category (one item being a sewn small, or a FQ or a notion or whatever would fit that category) You would need to send 5 items total with at least one crafted item. So we might have 10 categories to choose from, but you would only have to pick 5. Equivalent of 5 smalls.

Input/suggestions welcome!

I like your idea of pick 5 of the ten and having a sender's choice.  I'd love to do this.

I don't have a machine, and only handsew-and a beginner at that-but if I were welcome, I would LOVE to join this swap!  Great idea!

Of course you would be welcome hon! I probably won't start it up for a little while since I'm neck deep in a couple other swaps, but that will give us time to figure out all the ideas.

Thanks, MareMare!  Kiss  I received a surprise bonus from work today, so I cashed it, and went straight to Joann's and picked out several FQ's that were attractive to me and a yard of ladybug fabric!  No plans, just wanted the fabric.  I love it!
