So I know this is late but I didn't make it till just this past weekend. My friends and I had a "late" Valentine's Day Card Exchange. I was randomly given the name of one of my guy friends. So rather than just buying a Valentine's Card I had the opportunity to make one of my own. I've never made a card before so it was really hard for me to decide which techniques and styles to choose since you can get such different results depending on which techniques you use. Plus, all the different cards I've seen people make made me want to try a little bit of everything. It took longer than I originally anticipated but it was well worth it. I had a lot of fun making it.

For the Cover I tried my hand at an Iris pattern. I did not use a template; I just sort of eyed it. I also used lace and I cut out little hearts from another piece of patterned paper.

For the inside (remember it was for a guy). I made little gift card holders; one for my zombie pal and one for a gift card to Whataburger. Then on the opposing side I had to include paper cutting (since it is my favorite of all crafts). I wrote a small note and glued a couple of premade flowers on and *poof* done!

Thank you for all the supportive comments! I suppose the next holiday for me is Easter. There's probably some cool stuff I could do for that. I really want to try that stitching technique that I've been seeing around these parts lately.
