If you're like me and try to avoid going into stores whenever possible, Amazon has a lot of cheap quilling paper with a rainbow of color combinations.

Hi,
I really enjoyed your explanation of quilling. I just joined this forum and I am new here. I did want to say that years ago I was given a gift of a quilling project.  It's in a small recessed picture frame. The background is a piece of velvet over cardstock and the quilling is white and is a snowflake. I love it and keep it on my fireplace mantle.

Hey I've seen that tool before! Grin The paper wrapping tool has become a staple item in the Geocaching toolkit since little paper strips are essential to the game.

Thanks for the tutorial. Like alot of other crafts, got bit by the curiosity bug about quilling, and appreciate when a fellow crafter offers a helping hand.

I made my quilling tool out of a larger needle (I cut the end of eye off so I got "forks") and polymer clay handle. Works ok:)
