I had a good time making this hat. My husband and son love their hats. Would like to post a pic, but I can't until I post 10 times.

I'm sorry, but I'm so confused. What does "wrap grey yarn around blue yarn to lift it up and carry it along" mean?  I haven't come across this technique before so I'm not sure how you mean to do it. I keep thinking it should be fairly obvious but I just can't figure it out.  Can anyone help?

I'll try to explain how I did it.

This is what you end up with

In more words: When you have crochet a round in grey, you end up "one store higher" than blue, so to speak, and you would leave your blue yarn behind if you just crocheted on.
What I do now before I start the next stitch is change to blue, then change to grey again, then make the stitch. This results in the yarns being wrapped around each other, which keeps the blue yarn neatly tucked away.
The same trick works within a round, too. You can see in the picture how the grey yarn is wrapped into the backside of a blue stripe and vice versa.

If you are used to a different technique for crocheting with two colors, you can use that, too.

Hope it helped, if not, I can try to take pictures of the steps tomorrow.

I love love love this pattern!  My hat came out great, but I can't post the pic yet.  I was wondering if it would be ok to sell my hat if I put a tag inside giving credit to you?
