Wow, the gallery really blew up over the last few days! I'm so impressed with all of the high quality cards!

I received a couple of fantastic cards this last week, sorry I'm so late to post them.

MandyKaye sent an incredible hand painted birch tree forest. The sunset colors are really pretty.

and Graciepop did my Tom Sawyers Island theme. What an awesome map! The edges are burned and the card has an aged look  that makes it feel like I'm handling an antique.

The writing says "work consists of all the things a body is obligated to do; play consists of all the things a body is not obligated to do."

Thank you both so much!

I got this card yesterday from Lolaandbean, for my theme of "creepy."  Thanks!  And funnily enough, the book you took the text from is one of my favorite books, ha ha ha XD

So, after a busy week here I am at last ready to show off the WONDERFUL atcs I got in the mail!   Grin

First to arrive, from knitpurl on my "nudes" theme is this stunning original sketch/watercolor titled "Emma".

Oh, she is SO pretty!  I love everything about her!  The shading, the model's pose, the curves of her body, the contrast between the hair and the green background.  What a beautiful piece!  I love this!

And then, from blupaisan, an ATC on my theme "An ATC you wish someone would send you"  And no wonder she'd like to receive an ATC like this!  Smiley

First off, blupaisan loves owls, and second off, this little ode to them is a masterpiece!  The subtle coloring of everything but the owls brings the owls immediately to notice.  The owls themselves are so friendly, all leaning into each other and into the tree.   And with big googly eyes, too--my favorite!  Smiley

And assembled in such a way that it looks matted and like all it needs is a mini frame!

SO well done, a beautiful addition to my collection.  Whoo!  Whoo! (That's supposed to be owl noises.  lol)

Thanks so much, ladies!  Great cards!
