Swap name: Easter Egg Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: nikimac
Sign-up date range: 2/23/11-3/9/11
Date to send item by: 4/9/11

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): 24

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? Yes due to time constraints
If so, which country? USA

Details of swap:

For those of us who have kids (or kids at heart!), I was thinking it'd be fun to craft one medium item (or two smalls) and then fill 8 plastic Easter eggs with a few small crafts, some treats, bought toys, etc.  Then our partners can add the gifts to baskets at home.  Well have 2 weeks to sign up and 1 month to craft & gather goodies.  Im limiting the swap to within the US so that we can all receive our eggs by Easter for sure.  If you and your partner agree to it, you can certainly fill more eggs.  Please make at least 2 tiny crafts for filling the eggs, but you can put food or store-bought items in the others.  PM me with any questions or suggestions.

If you want to participate, fill in your information and send to nikimac via private message:

This sounds like a lot of fun. I have two little boys aged 2 and 4. They find all the holidays very exciting and magical. I'm also a big kid at heart and would love to have my own goodies to find at easter.

As a gift to a friend one year I glues some rhinestones and other trims on plastic eggs to make them a bit mroe exciting before i put goodies in them.

I'd love to do this swap but then I love most of the swaps! This seems a bit more managable than some of the 4 and 5 point swaps that are out there. I'm still waiting for 2 of my partners to recieve their package from my first swap before I can start signing up for more. That should be within plenty of time before these sign-ups close.

That's a great idea to craft up the eggs too.  If you have extra time or so desire, I think everyone would enjoy a pretty egg or two...or eight!  I had forgotten to add the questionnaire bit about what crafts you're good at, so if you already PM'd me, please let me know about that.  I added it to the original post for newcomers, though.

Same here!  My mom hides mine, I love it.  We also paint Easter eggs every year.

I am going to send my info in.  I don't have kids, so this will be for me  Cheesy, but I wouldn't mind crafting for children.

I've added in everybody who's given me their questionnaires so far.  I'm glad to see such good interest!  We're up to 8 (counting me) and we've still got 9 days left!  Hurrah!  You all have nice diverse talents too (and great feedback!) so this should make for a nice swap gallery.

I'm still thinking about this one. My hands are still tied since my first swap is listed as in progress.

Do you think that the 2 small or one medium craft plus 8 plastic eggs might fit in a small flat rate box? I haven't posted many packages lately and I want to be careful not to sign up for more swaps than I can handle.

It would be really nice to participate in a smaller group of swappers with a single partner and more of a chance to communicate and get to know another crafter.

This looks like fun!  I have two kids aged 10 and 6, I love doing Easter for them!

I don't think eggs would fit in a flat rate box Sad
