I have a huge family and when Christmas came, I decided to make everyone's gift by hand.  For my brother in law, I went with a dave matthews band t-shirt.  I printed out the silver fire dancer on freezer paper and the letters DMB.  Then I sprayed it with some diluted bleach.  He loved it, and put it on immediately.  One of my sister's friends saw it later and said she wanted two, so I made a couple for them, too!

And then for my boyfriend, I made a star trek shirt for valentine's day.  He absolutely loves it.  He even got a compliment on it the first time he wore it.  I haven't gotten a picture of it alone, but I got a good action shot.  (Isn't he cute?)

Okay, I just have to say I'm loving the star trek one, looks like the lines came off super clean!

I tried this method a few weeks ago, but my black shirt only reached orange after a few minutes, and I didn't want to risk it so I washed it right away. It got a small hole from bleach eat-through anyway. Have you ever had problems with bleach eating through?

Anyway, great job. Smiley

The DMB shirt is awesome.  It looks like a starry sky the way the bleach spray turned out.  Really really cool.

I've never had any problems with bleach eating through, but I always dilute my bleach maybe 2:1 (more bleach, of course).

The star trek shirt turned out super clean.  I made sure of that.  The shirt there is actually attempt #2.  So I sprayed a little bleach, then let it dry for 15-20 minutes.  Then sprayed a little more.  It took all night, but it turned out so clean that it was worth it.
