Thanks everyone for taking the time to respond!
I don't know what 'wisted' is but it must be good, right?! Smiley
As for where I get my inspiration, I really don't know.  I see random pieces, even objects that aren't necessarily jewelry elements, and I just get this image in my head of how I want them to look.  Usually it works out just as I wanted, but sometimes it doesn't and my design gets adjusted by going through my gigantic jewelry stash and seeing what fits best Cheesy

The photographs are suberb, black clearly works very well for your pieces.
Your pieces look very professional and the gems are certainly make them stand out from the crowd.

Black background is great! What equipment did you use?

One comment: Some of the pics crop off bits of your work (like the bottom of one earring) and also the chains that go with each pendant. If I were interested in purchasing, I would want to know what the entire necklace/bracelet looked like, how long it was, etc. Especially because some of them look like they have some rockin' asymmetrical beadwork and double chains, etc. Mixing in some wider frames with your macro pics would be helpful.

Hello,
I used a black poster board with foam core, (which was about 4.00) and my cannon powershot a2000is (which was around 250.00) and natural light- I only photograph when it's cloudy and overcast as it is easier for me Smiley
I actually have 5 pictures of each item I make.  Each has a different angle, full view, etc.  I just figured you all wouldn't want to see a million pictures!  Smiley
Oh, and a lot of my pieces have asymmetrical chains, double chains, etc.  The other pictures show them in much greater detail!
I have tried to use a neckbust to photograph on since I have no actual models, but haven't had much luck.  I'm still looking for alternatives.

Edit: Oh and I also use Gimp and a  Bamboo to edit the photos Cheesy

Hi! I'm new here but you're steampunk jewelry stopped me in my tracks and I just had to post! Definitely the black background is the way to go! They look wonderful! You have a real talent for pulling together mis-matched things and making a cohesive piece out of it! Keep it up!  Grin
