I just found this tut, and it's absolutely fantastic!  I'm trying to do a totally handmade Christmas this year, and I figure if I want to do that, I should start early!  That means finding projects I can complete quickly.  Thanks so much for this!

I know this thread is years old, but I am hoping someone can help me find the materials to make it.  I can't seem to find a D-ring clip as shown in the middle of page one.  I have been to Michael's, Joann, and Ace Hardware, and the closest thing I've found is a large clip with a round keychain ring, but none with a D-ring.  Does anyone have any idea where I can get something like the one pictured?  Thanks!
