Just curious, though, how many should be made?  I have about fifty right now, not including the ten for my bangs.

It depends...
-If You have a lot of hair You can make more because they are able to hold them
-how big head do You want
-how thick is Your hair and the crocheted ones...
The less I've ever made were 57 and the most were 75 double enders. The perfection stays somewhere in the middle, I've found. If it's the first time You have dread extensions You have to try it out (and next time correcting if they weren't comfortable or they were to airy...)  Wink
Show pictures, please! And good luck!  Kiss

Beautiful and so happy!  So its just a crocheted chain? Mine don't look all dread-y though...

Anyone have a link to a good tutorial/video of A.) how to make these and B.) how to attach them?  I am mystified and cannot seem to wrap my head around it.  My friend suggested "sewing" them in at the root but.........

Sorry Girls, I missed Your comments!  Embarrassed

dontdresslikeapril: Very nice color combination!  Wink

pinkkittypiper: Yes, they are crochet chains. Maybe You should change hook size...? Attaching is simple, You only have to braid them onto Your hair. Don't sew, it could damage Your hair!!!  Shocked
