scrabble cushion

I hope this is the best place to include this cushion. It contains a lot of embroidered letters, so I thought this would be okay. I made this cushion for my brother's birthday (a mere six months ago Roll Eyes

I embroidered the letters and little tiny numbers to look like scrabble tiles. I laid out real tiles on a scrabble board to get the layout and colours right. I used quilter's 2 inch grid iron-on interfacing. all in all, it's pretty wonky and dodgy in places. (I like to think what I lack in technical skill I make up for in my lack of technical skill). About to send it to him.

The back is beautiful Kaffe Fasset fabric.

I put some piping on the envelope closure - just coz I love piping.

I know two members of my family that NEED one of these. My BIL and niece have annual scrabble tournaments for Christmas.

I'm sorry, you can't use a proper noun ie. Kennedy. You lose....

lol JK! <3 I love this project! My bf and I play Scrabble a lot. I took a picture of the round that I won. Yes, one round. He's really good and has good luck drawing tiles. I hope your brother likes it!
