My Christmas trees are usually decorated in colour themes. Each year I have a different colour theme. I have been making some ornaments to add to my growing collection of tree ornaments.

The following is a mini tutorial for the Turquoise and some of the copper ornaments.
1. Make a 'leaf' shape template from card stock or a cereal box. It must be symmetrical.
2. draw around your template on to a cereal box. You will need 5 or 6 depending on the shape or your template.
3. Tape the edges of your shapes together with small pieces of masking tape. Start at the middle working towards the point. Once you have all 5 or 6 shapes taped together you can use 2 or 3 slightly longer pieces of tape to keep all the points more securely together.
4. Using the same template, draw enough shapes on the back of your fabric or decorative paper to cover your ornament. Cut shapes out of fabric of paper.
5. Glue the fabric or paper on to the ornament. I use what ever glue that is not going to bleed through the fabric I am using.
6. Cover the seams with braid using hot glue gun.
7. Put the head pin through the bead cap and make a loop using plyers. Use the plyers if necessary to make the bead cap more 'ornament top' like. This will depend on what bead caps you are using.
8. Put a blob of hot glue on the top of your ornament where the bead cap is going to be located. Then place the bead cap on the glue. Don't put the glue into the bead cap as you are likely to burn your fingers. The hot glue heats the metal bead cap and it takes forever for it to cool down so that the hot glue will harden.
9. Tie a piece of gold or silver cord on the loop at the top and you have finished. Put finished ornament on Christmas tree.
Varying the shape of your template will give different results, so will the number of shapes used in your ornament.
