Kale is a beautiful plant. It's ruffly and looks so healthy. But who cooks Kale? I know little about this vegetable. So today I decided to try something new: kale chips. It's simple and totally satisfies my salty craving. You wouldn't believe you're eating something so rich in beta-ceratene and vitamins A and C. I'm going to make this instead of popcorn during movie nights!



Ingredients:
One bunch of kale, cleaned and dried with paper towels or salad spinner
2 teaspoons of olive oil
salt to taste

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Meanwhile, remove the thick stems from the kale. You can just tear them off. Break up the leaves into bite-sized pieces. Toss in a bowl with olive oil so that each leaf is glossy. Place kale on two baking sheets and make sure the leaves don't overlap anywhere (they won't turn out as crispy that way). Bake for 15 minutes.

I love making these! I usually use garlic powder or garlic salt instead of regular salt. Try switching it up by using any favorite spices.

Add a little nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavour. You can dehydrate these too if you don't want to cook them, retains more nutrients that way. Kids love these, don't be afraid to try them for yourself!
