Mad Hatter's Top Hat from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (pic heavy)

I've always loved Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter and have always wanted his top hat but never got around to getting one/bothering to make one. Then Tim Burton's Alice came out and I decided I HAD to have the new Mad Hatter's top hat..problem was..I didn't like the mass produced one that came out so I gathered my supplies and after about a week and a half, and the arrival of my set of 5 licensed hat pins (the only things i couldn't make) I had a Mad Hatter hat. It has a buckram and wire frame covered in brown fake leather type fabric stuff, that has hundred of holes in that I hand punched into the pattern from the original as best I could and some seemingly random gold stitching, the card is just burnt poster board and I wrote the numbers on with sharpie. I made the peacock feather hat pin from a 7" hatpin shank, 2 pieces of felt, embroidery floss, seed beads, some flat back bead type things..and 2 peacock feather tops. I also stitched stars into the lining (which I'm not too happy with but w/e). It's Huge..it doesn't look big on a table..but when i put it on..it's huge...and it's SHORTER than the real one O_O mine is about 10" tall. Anyway enough babbling, on to the pics. Oh and apologies for the picture quality they were taken with my phone so the colors are little off I *swear* that pink fabric is not that...well..pink.. lol XD

Nice work!  It's so cute! .  I have someone I want to make a top hat for, and I kinda started but lost focus.  You siad enough in your post for me to figure out the next step.  Thanks a bunch!
