Too much cuteness! Kawaii patchwork bag

With my bags and bags of scraps, I found it about time to get to work with them. So this is the first of many totes. It is made of a mixture of Japanese imports, designer fabrics, and quilting cottons. Each piece is stitched in place, so it looks clean and neat and it lies down flat. The closure is made from a handmade fabric covered button and blue ribbon. Interfacing was used throughout (I never make anything without it). I also added a little purple heart on the back.

It's just a happy kind of bag.

That bag is too cute! I love it, and the fabric. Especially the panda one.  I always see really cute Japanese fabric but I'm too afraid to get it. I don't want to ruin it 'cause I don't sew too often.
