I knit this for my coworker in a secret snowflake gift exchange.  It's a very easy and fast pattern with satisfying results.  I believe this is in Fleece Artist Sea Wool.

You have aroused my curiosity with the words, "a very easy and fast pattern with satisfying results".
It looks to be a garter stitch cowl - correct? Maybe a moebius cowl? Where did you get the pattern from?

The result looks very nice indeed. Was your coworker pleased?

She was super-pleased!

It's seven thin circles in stockinette stitch, attached at the back of the scarf.  The pattern is the Sev[en] Circle scarf, on Ravelry here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sevencircle

I like your rendition of the pattern better than the others pictured.
Congratulation!
It looks better in a variegated yarn than it does in a solid colour.
