Where'd you get the peacock comforter?!?!
I'm trying to turn my bedroom into that theme.

I would love to see any pics of peacock-themed rooms, also!

Here is the comforter I have, my Mom bought it for me for Christmas from Fingerhut

That comforter is gorgeous!

I'm working on some peacock-themes pieces for my ceramics class. I'll post pics once they're recognizeable and then again once they're glazed.

Hmm I love peacock feathers and colors, but I'm trying to think where I could get ahold of the feathers for not too pricey... Does Michaels usually carry them? I don't know anyone with a peacock... :/
This is such a great idea, though!

I've seen peacock feathers at Michaels and AC Moore but they seem grossly overexpensive there.  I found a bargain at a cat show recently and picked up a bunch.

I don't plan on using actual feathers in many of my crafts, but instead sticking with images or other media.

If anyone does find a cheap feather place on-line or wherever, feel free to share.  I plan on looking later, since I've found an idea I definitely want to make for myself (or for a partner, if it suits them) that requires a lot of feathers.

I can actually get them for $.50 a feather at a local chain called Earthbound. Don't know if this helps anyone else, but there it is Smiley

You could paint feathers, I think I have seen peacock feather prints in stores as well, or appliqué them like on this

I have noticed peacock-costume theme in the movies, so I thought I would share for a bit of inspiration:

Yea!  I'm in!
I've done painted peacock feathers before.  With a little patience they turn out great.  Smiley

okay, okay... you guys talked me into it....  Cheesy i will work on my questionnaire tonight.
yes, my bedroom is kind-of accidentally a peacock room. i've only recently moved into this house, and had a canvas that i decided i was gonna use as the palette for my room. it is all in jewel tones and warm, rich earth tones, and is kindof abstract in a very earthy way. anyways, i was looking for the perfect deep teal curtains to match the print when i came across these on clearance at pier one:
http://media.pier1.com/img/pier1com/productimages/2282301.jpg
it's been all downhill from there. i asked a friend to come help me hang them, and she was all - these peacock feathers are great! didn't you buy a peacock rug at the thrift store a while back? which i had, and took it home and rolled it up and stuck it in the closet. i went and dug it out, and wonder of wonders, it exactly matches the curtains and my "palette" canvas! and it's the perfect size to hang at the head of my bed! .....

blah blah blah.... ANYWAYS! yup. gonna do it.  Grin will post a pic of my awesome delightfully tacky peacock rug sometime and my print and other furniture in the room and maybe y'all can help me pick out a color for the walls....
