Oh I so do have a solution for you Cheesy

I make what is called tuNO salad for myself (I'm what I like to  call "Mostly Macrobiotic" so I eat very few animal products.) Anyway here's a link to a recipe:

http://www.tastebook.com/recipes/2039109-Tuno-Salad

I use regular mayo rather than the vegan alternatives.
I tend to use nori crushed up rather than kelp or dulse (mainly because I always have nori around) and I adjust the mayo etc to my taste. Lemon juice is also a welcome addition to this recipe as is fresh dill.

I heard that this recipe mimics the texture and "sea" flavor really well, so I am putting it out there. (You have to put up with a 22 second intro/ "sponsor us" pitch)

I have a couple you could try out. One is a sunflower seed pate and the other one is made out of chickpeas..both delicious Smiley

I am the same...I'm vegan and don't crave meat except for tuna salad Shocked

For a while I would just break up Tempeh and add veganaise (or mayo), chopped sweet onion, chopped egg and sesame seeds (as opposed to using tuna).  It hit the spot, but sometimes Tempeh has a weird after taste.

My OH used to make a chickpea version.  I actually prefer that to real tuna salad.
