So I posted my practice quilt a few days ago, which was basically a miniature version of the bigger quilt that my sister wanted me to make for her little one out of some receiving blankets she had received as a gift.  You can see it posted here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=373472.0

The little version gave me no trouble at all but for some reason the squares of this one kept getting turned around on me and I kept sewing the wrong ones together after swearing I checked and double-checked!  Arrg!  So after a few tears and almost giving up I finished it and immediately shipped it off to my nephew.

Here's a couple of pics of the finished project:

Me snuggled up with it on the couch before it got boxed and sent

Here it is on my queen sized bed so you can see the size, basically I made it the size of the backing fabric that my sister sent, so it's not a standard size!

I am really happy about it since it's my first quilt, although I think it will be some time before I do another one!!

Great job! It looks like a very cozy quilt. The colors are really nice.
