I had an idea for a dress that would work during the live play Anastasia, during the scene where her dress changes. I thought that some one could take the idea and fly with it; some one with more experience than me. During ther scene when she's dancing on the ballroom floor her clothes change from rags to a beautiful dress. My idea was this: make the outer dress a slightly heavier fabric with saps or Velcro in the front(snaps would be quieter). Make the inner dress of a very light weight fabric that doesn't take up much space. The skirt can be kept in the baggy part of the outer dress until she twirls around. At that point when she hugs herself(crosses her arms) ahe can tug at the snaps and let the inner dress fall out, to finish the rest if the song and dance.
Please tell me what you think of the idea. I plan on doing it somedaybut I would love it if someone wants to try it, so long as I get to see the progress and finished product.
