Hi all,

We are trying to bring up our daughter bilingual, but since we live in England, we have more books in English, rather than in Russian. I have desided to make a soft book using cyrillic characters and animal pictures.
This was inspired by many talented craftsters who have made soft books before and shared pictures and tuts. Thank you.

Front:

First page. M for myshonok (mouse)

E for esh (hedgehog)

L for lev and lyagushka (lion and frog)

I for iguana

N for nosorog (rhinoceros)

D for dinosavr (dinosaur)

A for akula and albatros (shark and albatros)

How wonderful! All of the little details are great, and I love the sparkly bits.

It is better to have crafted and failed then never to have crafted at all.
Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.

I love this, it is completely adorable! I especially love the shark Smiley

I don't know if you have heard of this, but if you want to raise your daughter bilingual make sure you check out Cheburashka! There are little claymation movies with him and everyone speaks Russian, and it has English subtitles. My boyfriend speaks some Russian and introduced me to Cheburashka and I so love it Smiley

This is lovely, Asel! Hard to choose a favourite page, but I think the dinosaur with the flowers is very special!

Thank you all for your comments. I can definitely say that my daughter enjoys the book. We always read it together and she is very respectful of the book, the only part where she wants to shew it is the rhinos horn. She always goes for it.
