Hi I'm just getting into crochet and if any of you are in the hampton roads area and willing to give a few lesson I'd really appreciate it even willing to pay I'm trying to teach myself off books and videos but it's hard to tell what I'm doing wrong.

Contact the craft stores in your area if they offer lessons or know someone who might give you instruction. 

Community centers or neighborhood senior groups may offer classes.

Check with the library, too.

Learning crochet is not easy and takes time and practice.  Keep using your books and other information on the internet until your networking finds a personal teacher.
