Hello there,

Hello everyone!

Please help!

We just got a new place and have been struggling how to color this place with a
modern, causal and younger look and feel.  Some of the walls was painted with
rich earth tone colors (brown, red, wasabi).  The kitchen has cherry cabinets
and granite countertop, so is the bathrooms.

The current look and feel is warm and bold (feels like our parents place), but
both of us prefer lighter colors and younger/chic look and feel. Another thing
is that my husband really hate red. The house is almost brand new, so we really
don't want to do big changes.  Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance!

What a gorgeous place! Congrats Smiley Some really light and modern shades that are in style right now are gorgeous light grays and creams--which are neutral but can be accented by some darker and more vibrant colors, according to your likes. You should check out the magazine "Better Homes and Gardens," they always have some excellent suggestions for painting, and this month's issue is focused on those modern neutral shades. Good luck!! Be sure to post pictures when it's finished! Cheesy

Our last house had cherry cabinets with a creamy beige color on the walls. We ended up moving before we had the chance to do any painting, but I was considering a buttery yellow color to contrast the cherry cabinets.
