I had some crafting to do for a couple of swaps and I had just gotten a giant bucket of perler beads. My head was stuffed I couldn't hear out of one ear and I needed some cheering up. A couple hours later and I forgot all about my aches and pains and had some cool melted bead stuff. Seriously, who doesn't love these things? Has anyone tried the giant perler beads by the way? I'm curious, and have a $20 screaming to buy some for more beaded fun.
These are some coasters I made for my partner in the Animal Crossing swap. The penguin is based off of a character called Aurora, the others are a money (Bells) bag, a swirly fossil, and a pitfall icon.
A gamer World of Warcraft oversized coaster that measures about 3.5 x 4 inches. Some pixelated bows that are now attached to some hair clips so I can wear them, thanks to my husband. Small squared Keroppi from Sanrio characters. A close up shows just how cute they are.
I made my husband a green mushroom from Super Mario Bros. last year, so I finally decided he needed to grow bigger and run faster. I designed my own Companion Cube from Portal for another oversized coaster for him for Valentine's Day. The cake wasn't a lie, it was yummy.
Here are some coasters I made for my partner in the Hello Kitty and Friends swap a while back. I backed these small & medium coasters with felt so when her drinks sweat in the desert they don't leave rings. They all have glow beads included in their design so you can still kinda see where to put your drink down in the dark.
Clockwise from top: Badtz Maru, Kuromi, Hello Kitty and partners initials.
I have a few more that I have yet to take pictures of, and I'm sure I could go on about this all day and fill a whole page my self. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Man I am addicted to these things. C&C always welcome. Three cheers for Perler Beads! Thx for droppin in.
