I like pom poms, but is that big one heavy? I made one out of acrylic yarn and it's so heavy on my head. It didn't work for my hat that I made. Heavy pom poms would work for scarves, though, as weights.

Puffy, if you're not allergic to wool, try a hat/pom-pom with a wool yarn (or a wool blend).  Wool yarn is less dense, I believe, then acrylic. So you could still have an awesome pom-pom with less weight Smiley
