A friend of mine gave me some leather, and I've used most of it up. But, there were areas with a few stains and scuffs that I had avoided. I didn't want it to go to waste, so I covered up the imperfections with doodles and made a sketchbook for myself (to doodle in  Wink ). The design is based on 18th-century embroidery pieces. It's about 5.75" tall, 4" wide, and 1.5" thick. I used 80 sheets of 90-lb. paper and covered each of the 10 signatures with scrapbooking paper.





This last one shows the cover and endpapers before binding:

It's seriously beautiful- I absolutely love the design you drew (no way I consider that a 'doodle'!). I see something like this in my future, since I have loads of leather to craft with. Probably not as beautifully decorated though, sadly.
