I don't know what you did as a kid, but when I was little my favorite thing was to scribble all over a piece of paper and then color in the spaces. I basically took that concept and blew it up for my wall. I decided a while ago I wanted my room green as grass, I finally decided to paint my room, but then I realized I didn't want all green. I'm not sure wither it was me or my mom who originally proposed the idea but the idea for a crazy wall, but someone did and the crazy wall was born! Fist I painted the wall white, then I went crazy with a pencil and drew all the lines for painting. I had a lot of erasing and redrawing, but eventually I got it where I wanted it. I added little pieces going off to the other wall to keep it from being too one dimensional.  From there all I did was get paint samples and mix them white or other colors to make similar colors. My favorites were the ones I mixed with a shiny glossy white, it made the paint shimmery and it was very cool Smiley it took me and my mom about a month of painting. We only slowly worked on it cause I was in the middle of school. After all the gaps were filled in I bought pin striping, the one you get to put on you car, and outlined all my original pencil lines with it. This really made the colors pop and finished it off nicely Smiley

Here is a progress shot

If your wondering what i'm standing on, its my water bed frame, the actual bed/mattress thingy was folded up so it wouldn't get paint on it.

Oh yeah we also added black dots to the wall, but it kind of made them look like fish. I left one or two up but put the rest on other random places in my room Smiley hehe

Here is a shot of the right side of the wall

Here is a shot of the left side

I also had a little tiny bit going up to the ceiling but I didn't take a picture of it Tongue

Well I hope you like it, I know I do!

What a great accent wall!  I love how you let some of the scribbles lap onto the adjacent walls; it gives it a more organic look and dynamic feel.

It is great - but it must be difficult to feel sleepy, when you look at that wall  Grin.

That is an awesome wall!
I did the same thing as a kid (not on a wall of course, on pieces of paper, like you).
I love how you continued some of the shapes on the other walls.

Aww thank you everyone it's so nice to see that other people like my crazy ideas!
I love this wall and it makes me happy every time I see it Smiley Its surprisingly not hard to fall asleep with it, in fact its rather calming for me, I think its all the blues and purples and calm like colors.
Also I'm glad you like how the shapes come off just the wall, it took me a long time to decide if having the shapes come off the wall would to look to over the top, but I eventually figured the wall was over the top just as it is what does it matter!  Grin Grin
I also forgot to say all of my furniture is dark brown so it brings the colors down a bit too! And in real life the shapes look a lot less blotchy haha Smiley

Wow! This is very artsy, and the overlap onto other walls makes you certain it's not just wallpaper. "this rocks"
