I made this quilt for a friend at work.  Its retro reproduction fabric with white.  And I took the time to piece the border which wasn't as bad as I thought.  I definitely like the effect of the pieced border on this.

My machine quilting leaves something to be desired and so does the accuracy of the squares.  Who needs pins anyways...  Roll Eyes
[edit] - Oh, I wanted to mention that I used a fat jelly roll for this (5 inches high instead of 2.5).  It was perfect and the nice part was that it provided 52 different fabrics for the quilt!

Hope you enjoy.

I love the pinwheel. You did an excellent job! Your quilt "dances".

Beautiful fabric selection!  Your pieced border is awesome, too!  Nice work!

Fabric cutting was cut down in time since the strips were already the right width.  I would say this could be done in a day.  Maybe an afternoon if you're experienced.
