Hi ladies! I made these two paperclip necklaces, inspired by a necklace I saw on Anthropologie...the $168 Acrobatics Necklace, link here - http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=19593169&navAction=jump&navCount=

For the first one - I opted out of the "fringe" around the necklace and used silk ribbon instead of vinyl. I used hot glue to secure the ribbon and small jump rings to connect the paperclips.

The second one was much simpler. I used leather scraps, and added a pendant. A pretty simple idea, but I did a tutorial for dollarstorecrafts.com at http://dollarstorecrafts.com/2011/01/anthropologie-necklace-tutorial/ if you'd like more detail.

xo!

I'm often impressed by the ingenious crafts that are inspired by expensive chic styles.

Good work - it's beautiful.

These are gorgeous!  I am totally inspired to do something similar. . .the possibilities of wrapping the paperclips are endless!  Silk thread, magazine paper, wire and beads. . .hmmm. . .now, off to find some paperclips!
