Hi ladies! I made these two paperclip necklaces, inspired by a necklace I saw on Anthropologie...the $168 Acrobatics Necklace, link here - http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=19593169&navAction=jump&navCount=

For the first one - I opted out of the "fringe" around the necklace and used silk ribbon instead of vinyl. I used hot glue to secure the ribbon and small jump rings to connect the paperclips.

The second one was much simpler. I used leather scraps, and added a pendant. A pretty simple idea, but I did a tutorial for dollarstorecrafts.c om at http://dollarstorecrafts.com/2011/01/anthropologie-necklace-tutorial/ if you'd like more detail.

xo!

These are so great! I like your color selection on the first one much better than Anthropologie's, and the second necklace is just gorgeous! You designed that??? Amazing!!! Thanks for the tute!

I'm often impressed by the ingenious crafts that are inspired by expensive chic styles.

Good work - it's beautiful.

These are gorgeous!  I am totally inspired to do something similar. . .the possibilities of wrapping the paperclips are endless!  Silk thread, magazine paper, wire and beads. . .hmmm. . .now, off to find some paperclips!
