While pining for the good old school days of handing out paper hearts, I came up with my grown up version of cut and glue love Smiley

detail:

I used some "collage" paper (made from bits of text, old letters and stuff sandwiched between some old sewing patterns that were washed with watered down white glue) that I had made and painted with a wash of thinned golden acrylics.  I layered that with some torn pages from a Ukrainian song book, gold tulle, dyed (with watered down paint) cheesecloth and topped it with a romantic paper flower (that I can't seem to stop buying from the scrapbook store because they are so pretty!)  Also I inked around the edge of the heart and laid on a bit of bling with some Chinese joss paper (just dab around with a glue stick and tap the paper on till some foil comes off)  A little cutout word finished off each one.

All ready to mail!

Happy Valentines Day!
