I don't work, and I don't get out of the house much... (true story, sad, I know
Anyway, I don't have the opportunity to go out and get my other half something neat that he would actually like for Valentines so I spend my days pouring over craftster and other crafting websites looking for that perfect DIY gift.
Last year I made him a deck of "Why I love you" cards (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=337814.msg3908459#msg3908459
This year I'm knitting him a hat (but no surprise there, and it won't be finished by the end of today)
And I finally found something that I can give him and be super cheesy! He'll probably hate it, but I don't care.
I made him a set of coupons from http://www.chicaandjo.com/2011/02/01/valentines-day-coupon-book/
Conversation hearts that aren't real? Yes please! Sorry, didn't take pictures of that before I closed it up.
Then I found this neat tutorial on Cut-out-and-keep http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/valentines_card_envelope
and figured I could make it work to cover the coupons since we don't have envelopes that size.
THEN, I heard this amazing song ("Valentine" by Kina Grannis) on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=840NbiFF1zM
that seemed to say exactly what I wanted to say to him... So I wrote (most) of the lyrics in Red sharpie highlighter on the inside
It all came together into what I think is something pretty neat.
And here are the pics!
Front & Back
You should really listen to that song. It's amazing! And, as an added bonus, you can download it for free!
Isn't Valentine's day wonderful?? <3
Thanks for looking!
