I haven't cross stitched in at least 15 years, but I saw this pattern on etsy and had to try it Smiley  Started it August 2010, worked on it pretty much nonstop except for a month or so to make holiday gifts.  Here is the pretty lady, finally!  (The edges are really even, it looks wobbly because the fabric wasn't flat in the pic  Roll Eyes)

It's on 14ct white aida, 126x166 stitches, 39 colors.

And some closeups (click to see full-size images):

Of course, I've already started my next project, bigger and twice as many colors!  Cheesy  Thanks for looking Smiley

I can see myself starting such a piece, but the patience and dedication required for finishing it? I don't have it.

Really, truly, beautiful.

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.
