What if you did a sort of couching techinique and strung the beads on a thread and then machine stitched over the thread, between each bead?

Do you have a link to a tutorial on this technique? Or a video?

Uh no, it just made sense in my head lol!

Here is a good photo of machine couching. Maybe that would help.

Seriously tempted to join in here.  I love all the art quilts in the galleries and I would enjoy making one.  Now I just have to get past the information form.  Eeep.  There are a lot of questions and I'm not very good at "what is your favorite_________?"

Oh cool funthreads! I've been thinking of getting one of those feet. I have such a collection now! Smiley

It's funny, I thought that once I got my hemmer foot I'd use it the most, but I find myself doing 90% of my hems manually. The BEST foot is 'The Ultimate Ruffler". I loves me some fast, easy, accurate ruffles!!

It's what I used for the bottom of that skirt I made you maremare.

I don't use anything but my regular foot, my 1/4 inch foot, zipper foot and sometimes the darning foot for quilting, but lately I haven't even been using that.

I'm in!

The coolest specialty foot I ever bought on purpose is the bias tape foot.  It holds the bias tape open, feeds the fabric in and it works out and makes it look like I know what I am doing.

I could totally use one of those! Do you remember about how much it cost?
