Stalled.  More company tonight.  Can't get my mess out until later!

Picked out my embellishments at the store yesterday.  I really want to get going.

It is fun trying to imagine what you all are doing as I read bits and pieces of your projects.  I'm getting excited about seeing them all.

Ok two things:

Quilt and then bind, or bind and then quilt?

Second, Im starting to get the anxiety. Anyone up to take peek and offer some feedback? It would be much appreciated Smiley

Thanks!

I can take a look if you like.

(i had a nightmare last night that us customs would not let my quilt into the country cause they deemed it pornographic... and they tried to arrest me in my home... i need to get this one done and on it's way.  Smiley)

and no, it isn't pornographic in ANY way.
omg, now i REALLY can't wait to see it!!

have been working up the courage to attempt the last (most complicated) embellishment tonight in hopes of quilting and binding this week and sending out next weekend Smiley  fingers crossed that it goes well and turns out like the picture in my head...

Wow. The macro setting on my camera really came out close up. That fabric is regular quilter's cotton. I know it looks like heavy home dec in the photo but it's not.

i'm not a fan of pink,  but that looks like fun.

and on a crafty note.

invisible thread is NOT my friend.

in fact.   i am not inviting invisible  thread to any more of my quilt parties.

** and i have a new found respect for people who bead.  especially seed beads.  argh.

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

Ugh. I had to do a lot of cleaning and attend a wake this weekend, so no real quilt work got done.Tongue At least most of my fabrics are washed. I can't fall asleep, so I'm going to go ahead and press them so I can actually get to cutting tomorrow.

I share your general disgust with invisible thread, and would like to add bird's nests on the backside. Urgh.
I've pieced, appliqued, sandwiched, quilted and bound. Embellish is the next step. YAY!
