Went through my fat quarter stash today, and picked out the perfect fabrics. Still need to decide on an exact design, though.

I'm curious.  Will most of you make "traditional" type quilts, with pieced blocks, or will they be more "picture" type quilts?  I favor the picture type, which I tend to do more as applique.

Well margiej, after some serious brainstorming and thinking, I don't know that I'm doing a pieced block OR appliqu.  I hope that's okay! Cheesy

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

mine is also going to be a combination...piece d background with appliques/embellishments on top.

made it to the fabric store yesterday and got all the background pieces cut last night.  today's plan is to (something secret) the focus pieces and piece the background together, then wednesday i'm hoping to hit a better fabric store to find just the right fabric for the (other secret)s, and start the quilting/embellishments/last secret next weekend.
SO much fun Smiley

I have a question for everyone. Is anyone using a pattern or is everyone designing a custom quilt?

I'm starting with a custom idea, but I have a pattern for back up if I create catastrophe instead of cool.
