Cute Anime Boxers

Ever since my boyfriend and I started dating, I thought it would be super fun to get him some cute/interesting boxers. There are a lot of fun prints of boxers out there...but I couldn't really find anything that I thought fit him (we're both into anime/manga, but the closest thing I could find were like, marvel superhero undies and whatnot. not exactly his thing).

So I thought I should sew some for him myself! Took me a while to find a fabric that I liked that was cute and fun but at the same time not too emasculating, lol xD Got this off ebay:



And sewn up!



I used this pattern/tutorial to make them. It was pretty easy and I'd love to make some for myself next time!

I made these for Valentine's Day so I still have to give them to him and see if they fit correctly. I mentioned getting him cute boxers before, and yesterday I blatantly measured his waist and asked him where on his waist he'd prefer to wear boxers...and yet he says he can't possibly think what it is I'm making for him! Apparently the obvious choice is too obvious? hehe

I tried to make boxer shorts for my boy last Valentines day but they ended up being too tight. He was really excitied about them though, I think he liked having something made for specially him
I did plan to fix them up so that they fitted but I lost heart and put them to the back of the sewing cupboard
Maybe for next Valentines day

Great work!  I'm sure he'll love 'em.  Once you start, it's hard to stop making boxers for your fella.  I started a couple years ago and have made over 15 pairs... I just keep finding great, funny, prints!

They were pretty easy to make! Some of the crotch-sewing in the video was vaguely misleading but it's not too hard to figure out if you know what you're doing (or have watched waaaaaay too many shorts-making videos like me)

Well gave 'em to the boyfriend and they fit around pretty well but are a little bit short (I was afraid of this :[)! If he wears them the are like hip huggers lolol. he did like them though. :] They actually fit me too, though way more tightly than they do him (hey girls are supposed to have tight shorts and guys loose shorts...lol!), so if I make some for myself I'll just use the same pattern I already made. hee
