I have a little white chihuahua and every night we have to put her little sweater on but she still shakes and tries to come burrow under one of my family members. This would be the cutest idea for her!

Ok, so I tried it using your measurement.  I was using scraps and I didn't have enough, but thought that the 1/2 inch I was short wouldn't make a difference.  It did.  The amount of snorting and grunting produced from trying to shove my doxie in was pure comedy.  I pulled him out of his sausage casing and tried to put my chihuahua/Italian greyhound mix in, and it wasn't happening because she's too tall and she's also really scrappy and gnawing on my hands as I was trying.  (We had to clip her nails once by bundling her in a pillow case, so she probably thought we were getting the clippers!)  Anyway, I shoved Boris in again and this time cut off the bottom and eyeballed where to make armholes.  He now has a new coat.  I'll try it again later with bigger dimensions.

Oh dear, dweebycricket! I'm sorry the measurements didn't work for you. I should mention that my doxies are more petite than most. They fit quite nicely in this size but if your pups are anymore than 9 lbs or if they are a bit rounder I could see how squishing them in might be tough Smiley.

I have to admit that the thought of you trying to shove your doxie in is more than a little funny Grin. At least boris has a lovely new coat!

This will be a perfect present for my parents/ my parents dogs. They have a standard and a mini dachshund both
who try and crawl up shirts.
My parents have hot rice bags they use for aches and pains, the dachshunds can always
be found somewhere sleeping on them Smiley

That is one of the cutest things I've ever seen! I want to make something like that for my cat. He likes to be a little burrito.

If you manage to get your cat into one of these you have to promise to post pictures!! I'd love to see your kitty burrito and hope it doesn't result in too many scratches for you Smiley.

All I have to say is OMG!!! Smiley
This totally rocks. Thanks SO MUCH for the tutorial too.
I have a Toy Manchester that would love one. I also want to say I LOVE the dapple color in Doxies- though all of yours are too adorable (if there is such a thing as too adorable!)

OMG!  Your dapples are gorgeous!!  I'm so going to try this.  My mini's are long haired pie bolds and I'm gonna have to alter the measurements a bit....Claire is skinny, long and tall and Albie is my heavy one (probably 10-11 lbs by now).  But they will LOVE this and it will be especially good for traveling.  Thanks for sharing not only your hooded bag, but pics of the doxies.  I LOVE them and could look at pics of them ALL DAY!

Oh that is too freaking cute!!! My mini doxi would love this, she is always demanding to be under the covers. The one time I made my bed(because company was coming) I walked back into the room to a big lump under my nicely tucked blankets lol.

Heres my babies on their blanket in my sewing room.
