My version of the Doxie Hooded Sleeping bag, based on  LimeRiot's tute here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=373007.0 .

Modeled by my DD's beanie bear.

It's for a friend's teeny-tiny chichuahua (1 1/2 pounds). If my friend will give me photos, I'll show action shots, too, but he's too skittish for me to be there to take any!

The little red thing in the pic is an outdoor coat (or "cozy," as we've been calling it) that she asked me to make when even the smallest one she could find was waaay too big on him. It's really pitfully small, as you can see. "Oddie" (said Odie) must have some hairless in him and he has to be forced outside or he won't go, even when it's 60 degrees!

Thank you, LimeRiot!!!

OMG! I've had mini-doxies my whole life (dapples too, like yours) and these hooded sleepsacks are a great idea and supercute! They are beyond my throw pillow skill with a sewing machine but maybe I can talk my mom into making my Ziggy one Smiley

Thanks, LimeRiot. I had fun making it, imagining Oddie in it!

imafundork...LOL...MY cat would like it, but only if it was HIS idea!  Roll Eyes  I don't see anybody being able to pick a cat up and put it in one of these without needing serious first aid shortly after!

we have a mini doxie call Daisy, and she spends so much time rearranging our blankets and pillows to make herself nests, some of them have been permanently donated to her!

I'll be making a little sleeping bag following your tutorial, I am sure she will love it.  I was thinking of putting a hood at each end, that way she can get into it herself, but keep her rear end warm as well.

I had previously made her a coat and when she doesn't have it on, she carries it around to sleep on it in the room I am in.  She will need a new one this winter as she also uses it as a chew toy.

After reading everybody's experience with them, I am seriously wanting a doxie. Can you wist those?!

THis has to be one of the cutest things I've ever seen on craftster! I could look & look at your sweet doggies in sleeping bags all day! They look so snuggly!
