Each year I make a homemade Valentine's gift for my kid's teachers.  This  year I chose to make peanut butter cookies that I dipped in chocolate, rolled in nuts, and drizzled with more chocolate and chocolate dipped strawberries drizzled with white chocolate for most and then a lower sugar brownie for my son's teacher who has diabetes.  I also made Milky Way candy bar filled cupcakes for my son's school Valentine's Party.

Goodies before being wrapped.

Wrapped and unwrapped version of teacher's gifts.  I used heart shaped glass dish from the Dollar Tree and filled them with pink shredded paper.  Behind the homemade goodies is a hershey bar I put a custom label on.

Cupcakes.

Milky Way Center (or make that bottom).  Going to add the candy after filling instead of mid way through next time to see if it keeps them from sinking to the bottom.

Due to time constraints I did not make the cupcake batter from scratch.  I used a box cake mix and simple placed a bit sized Miky Way in before baking (use a little less batter since the candy takes up space).  Bake for normal time frame.

For the peanut butter cookies I used this recipe from Allrecipes:  http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Three-Ingredient-Peanut-Butter-Cookies/Detail.aspx  I then dipped the front half in melted chocolate chips and then rolled in crushed peanuts.  Place on wax paper to cool.

to solve the milky way bottom...
I make peanut butter brownies in my cupcake tin...and yes, adding them on top of the batter works best, i mean you still get some rogue filling every now and then, but all in all, it works. Cheesy
and everything looks awesome. very well presented.
